This is just
the basic outline of each of the lodges' jobs at the conclave. More
information about specific activities will be posted as the details
are worked out.
The
Nampa-Tsi Lodge is coordinating the activities which will
include the DeReign Climbing Tower and the shotgun range. Other
planned activities are: Ultimate Frisbee, washers, Tug-o-war,
measuring heights, dodgeball, farmer golf, hot isotope, remote
clove hitch, and hacky-sack.
The
Taleka Lodge will organize competitions for Pre-ordeal and
Vigil ceremony teams. Each lodge may bring up to two teams to
participate in each competition. Awards will be presented at the
campfire for team and individual performances. This competition
will be held at the Voss Council Ring. Spectators are welcome!
The
Anpetu-We Lodge will oversee the Native American Dance
competition. Whether you dance fancy, traditional, or grass,
bring your garb and join in. Recognitions will be presented at
the campfire.
A living
history area will be set up separate from the lodge camping
area. If you have a tipi, or other traditional or historical
living area, please feel free to bring it and camp in this area.
Bring your ceremonial crafts to work on and display. Contact the
Anpetu-We Lodge’s Staff Adviser in advance should you desire to
sell any items. The dance competition will be held adjacent to
this area.
As many as
thirty different training activities will be available for you
to choose from on Saturday morning. The Shawnee, Nampa-Tsi,
Taleka, and Kishkakon Lodges are joining forces to provide a
great training experience. The location will be the Pine Forest.
Please bring a camp chair with you.
